I may have mentioned it already (ok, I’ve mentioned it a hundred times) but, according to me, if the festive season must be one thing it’s yummy! I’ve been on a mission of scouting out the tastiest festive menus in town and happy to share my yummy finds with you guys.

Festive Dining Guide – Christmas 2019
Executive Chef Corey Riches is bringing starry night Bedouin feasts to holiday-spirited diners with its Festive Chef’s Menu designed for sharing and featuring treats such as Black garlic and Almond Labneh with flatbread o the Spice Roasted Pork Belly. 
 
On Christmas Day, the chef will be spicing things up offering an exclusive 5 dishes menu including traditional Middle Eastern Smoky Hummus, Garlic Labneh with Za’atar and Preserved Peach and Haloumi Salad, and choose from two main courses; Saffron and Thyme Whole Roasted  Spatchcock or ‘Zucchini Three Ways’. Guests have a choice of Christmas Spiced Dark Chocolate Pudding or light and fresh Raspberry Sorbet to finish off the meal.
 
 
Festive Chef’s Menu is available throughout November and December (with the exception of Christmas Day): HKD 390/ person 
Menu must be pre-ordered 48h in advance and a HKD 150 deposit is required

Awarded with its first Michelin Star last year, Belon offers French-rooted yet locally inspired cuisine and both Christmas Day lunch and Christmas Day dinner will be infused with a touch of French flair and featuring the whole roasted “Three Yellow” chicken with “petit pois à la Française” as the main course.

Christmas Eve dinner there is a family-style Argentinian affair starring pure Black Angus steaks from the pampas’ General Pico range, empanadas and some comforting sides such as Mascarpone and brown butter-bolstered mashed potatoes. Opened this year The St Regis Hong Kong, L’Envol offers sumptuous French cuisine in a beautiful setting. The Festive Menu is a perfect showcase of awarded Chef Olivier Elzer’s tasty cuisine and I’m already drooling over the Goose Foie Gras terrine served with Perigord black truffle toasted brioche. Other yummy highlights of the festive menu include Oysters, Hokkaido Sea urchin and Roasted French capon with Perigord black truffle.

Festive Dining Guide – Christmas 2019
Christmas at La Petite Maison is infused with French flair and radiates with cool South of France vibes. In pure Mediterranean style, the Christmas menu has been designed to be shared between the guests and the 11 dishes (yes 11!) are served “à la minute”: Escargots with garlic butter, pan-roasted Foie Gras with warm brioche, Salmon carpaccio, Red Cabbage salad, Rigatoni in cream sauce with black truffle shavings, Whole Branzino fish, Whole Roast Black Leg Chicken with Foie Gras served with Sautéed Broccolini and creamy Potato gratin, thin crust Apple Tart and last but not least the Warm Chocolate Mousse. A food marathon!

In pure Chinese way, Old Bailey is celebrating the Chinese Winter Solstice rather than Christmas with a menu featuring seasonal delights from the Jiangnan region: Marinated Eggs in fermented rice wine, marinated Black Fungus and Cucumber, Nanjing Salted Duck, marinated Bran Dough, Xiaolongbao and Hairy Crab Roe Xiaolongbao, Dragon’s Whiker Fish, Slow-braised Angus Beef, braised seasonal green Fish Soup, Hairy Crab Roe hand-pulled Noodles.

Festivities at Uma Nota come in a vibrant Brazilian atmosphere and the festive menu features some of the chef’s favorite such as the Caldinho de Vongoles, a creamy dish of clams cooked in coconut milk spiced with turmeric, onion, tomato and coriander or the Salmon Kabayaki, a new Christmas special, served with roasted okra and mandioquinha mash made from the South American root vegetable.
