Every parent knows it, when it’s time for a trim, even the sweetest baby boy/girl can turn into a screaming monster. Nightmare! So what are the solutions? You could of course cut their hair by yourself or just give up and don’t cut it at all or easier you can check our top 3 kid-friendly hairdressers!

Magic Mirror: kiddos kingdom
Is it a salon or a playroom? One sure thing, it is 100% dedicated to kids and welcome them w/ toys, books, cars and games. When it’s time for the cut, your little one can choose his animal seat: horse, cat or rabbit? They all come from a US carrousel.  While Peppa the Pig or Spiderman are saving the planet on the individual screen, the hairdresser can do whatever he wants.  A candy once it’s all done, a balloon to take-away ... the toughest part is actually having the kiddos leaving the salon!

From HKD 460 (for boys on weekdays in Mongkok) to HKD 350 (for girls on weekends in Causeway Bay)

Emmanuel f. : 100% organic, 100% pro
I love the green commitment of Emmanuel f. salon where everything is organic and eco-friendly from the products to the cotton towels or even the staff uniforms and the coffee and drinks they serve. Free of aluminum foils, plastic cups, they use recyclable paper and LED lightings. Ok, it’s not today’s focus but hey if you can do good to both your child and the environment at the same time I call it a win-win … don’t you?

Back to our little ones, Eric will definitely take good care of them. And they’ll enjoy both the shampoo part, lying on a bed under the stars, and the cut reading books and sipping on hot milk tea.

The Strand : baby’s first haircut
Which mum never kept baby’s first lock of hair? Which mum never wondered where to keep and what to do with those? The Strand creates a special frame with the name, the date and the age. A lovely souvenir. If your daughter is a bit older, you can book an afternoon mother/daughter including cut/brushing and/or manicure. Both of you will love this moment in a luxury atmosphere.
