If you’re a frequent Hong Kong Madame reader you should know it by now, I love food. Not only am I a foodie who love nothing more than eating out and visiting all the new restaurants in town but also revisiting all-time favourites, I also love watching movies and tv shows about the culinary world and reading books and articles related to gastronomy. My other half is actually the same and you know the saying “the apple doesn’t fall far from the three”, so it seems like our little one is already a mini foodie. I’m not gonna lie, I’m thrilled about it and I’m trying to nurture her love for food. We’re taking her out to the restaurant with us, we’re cooking with her to pass on the appetite for fresh, unprocessed food, we’re teaching her the names of fruits and vegetables and we’re reading stories about food and food traditions. Speaking of food traditions, as we are French but living in Hong Kong, I believe it’s important she also “learn” about the local food culture and I find these books to be among our favs when it comes to exploring Hong Kong food scene with a toddler.
