Ham & Sherry: small tapas amongst friends

By Delphine

Sharing bites are SO in this year with Ship Street being THE place to hang out in Wanchai so we HAD to tell you about Ham & Sherry.

This Spanish joint located a few steps away from its older sister 22 Ships has got it all right. Great service, an open kitchen to take in the action as your meal is prepared, not too loud music, laid back atmosphere, blue and white mosaic tiles covering the walls. As for the tapas, tough to choose, so best go with a lot of friends and sample loads of them. You can also choose to sit at a big table or at the counter.

The purists will go for the various Jamon Iberico, the carnivores won’t be able to resist the melt in your mouth lamb or the glazed pork ribs, vegetarians will love the beautifully padron peppers and the courgettes with goat’s cheese and lemon, seafood lovers will go crazy over the fennel with anchovies and  paprika grilled octopus with capers. Care for house cocktail to wash it all down? Great idea, they know what they’re doing with their Sherry! What better way to finish off with a crème Catalane or churros to dip in melted chocolate.

The best of Spain found right here at 1 Ship Street! ! Olé !
