A future for Mekong kids

A future for Mekong kids
We were not sure about the fact that this kind of heavy and painful topic would fit in our editorial line. Hong Kong Madame usually getting into totally different and lighter subjects, we have to admit it! Nevertheless we’ve met, listened and heard this association. Not without emotion! We realized that some people are giving their best to help, whereas others give with the flow, cradled by a comforting, peaceful and easy-going routine. Here, in Hong Kong, many people can help. But the gap between conscience and action is not always easy to cross. The association "Enfants du Mékong" exists for more than 50 years. A bet that paid off, a great adventure! Half a century of commitment for the children in difficult situation in South East Asia. Hundreds of ultra-committed voluntaries spread between French headquarters, Asian regional delegations and on the field. The association aims at helping children, to offer them a future without cutting them from their roots, culture, family and language. You can immediately become the patron of a child. It is not just about giving money every month to him/her, but more about creating a connection with the child. You will be able to follow the kid education, discuss by mail etc. For approx. HK$250 a month, you give a child the opportunity to go to school and to learn instead of having to work. This money also finances his family needs in food. “Enfants du Mékong” president, François Foucart, invites you to take part in a generous gesture, as he brightly said "Donation is a Humanity unlimited resource". A word to the wise...
