Why not try Shiatsu?

Why not try Shiatsu?
However fascinating it may be, we have to admit that we are not true believers in the relaxation methods around. But one of us has agreed to have a go at relaxation for once. Taming, listening to and looking after your body. Put like that it doesn’t sound at all challenging. But it’s not always as easy as it seems. Especially for busy ladies like ourselves. We tend to do everything in top gear, without taking the time to sit and rest, sometimes even forgetting to breathe…Suddenly there comes a time when you eventually feel all screwed up. So there is a moment when you have to say "stop" and look after yourself. Both your body and your mind. For some people, yoga, a massage or a visit to the psychiatrist does the trick, for others it’s a Shiatsu session. For those of you who would like to try out this latest healing technique, we recommend you pay a visit to Anne Cousin. This young French lady has opened a practice in her apartment. Over a cup of tea and an introductory chat Anne will try to understand your ailments; then you’ll be settled down comfortably on the tatami and Anne will “listen” to your body with her hands. She will be able to identify the weakest links. The amount of heat that she creates with her hands is just unbelievable. After the initial few minutes of listening, you’re off for an hour and half of hands-on work. But relax, it’s soft and painless. You’ll experience some fatigue in the evening of the treatment but you will feel the difference over the course of the next few days. Note that Shiatsu has been recognized by Japan’s Health Ministry as an official medical technique since 1955. It provides the following definition: “Shiatsu is a treatment that uses the thumbs and the palms of hands to apply pressure on certain parts of the human body in order to correct irregularities and maintain or improve health”. Tested and approved by Hong Kong Madame!
