Teakha, a pocket Tea Room in Sheung Wan

March 28th 2012

Teakha, a pocket Tea Room in Sheung Wan
It opened over a month ago, but it’s already a not-to-be-missed address for those who work in the Sheung Wan/Hollywood Road area. And there’s a good reason! Nana has a passion for tea and has decided to dedicate this charming little space to it. She welcomes you like if it were her own home. She prepares your tea (or coffee only three days a week!) in front of you. If you ask her, she will tell you all about the different types of teas and their story for hours! We told you, she is passionate about it. We like the cups in which the tea is served. Homemade and painted, the tableware she uses was produced by a Chinese ceramics designer. Nana carefully chose it because for her, the vessel food is served in makes a difference to our eating experience. We recommend the Hong Kong style milk tea, which is delicious. To accompany it, give in to one of the scones or cakes made by Nana herself. They are incredible (particularly the fig scone)! Sandwiches are offered for more substantial snacks. Here is an authentic address, which we really like. You’re probably planning a tea soon with a friend! Choose to meet at Teakha, you won’t be disappointed!
