It is not because you moved to Hong Kong that you have to give your green gestures up!
At first, we agree, Hong Kong is not the most eco-responsible city but, by searching a bit, we found some initiatives that will make your take part of the daily environment protection. Let's start with batteries! If you have opted for rechargeable batteries, there are many drop off points in which you can bring them to make them recycled. Initiated by the Hong Kong government, the program is well-supported by a lot of stores, schools and residences. China Mobile Hong Kong, Fortress, Pricerite, Watsons, McDonald's, several Wellcome shops, 7-ELEVEN, ThreeSixty, Mobile City and many MTR stations, thus are part of the program. To know the whole list of drop off points, you can check the website wastereduction.gov.hk. Household refuse are not feeling indebted! There are many collecting points depending on the waste material (plastic, paper, glass, computer hardware, etc.) Still check the complete list on wastereduction.gov.hk. With this you will become a crack recycler!
