OTTO e MEZZO

OTTO e MEZZO
Happy indeed! The three week wait to get a table was really worth it. We were enchanted by this Italian restaurant. There was nothing to complain about. We did our best to uncover small glitches but it was all as smooth as silk! Let’s start from the beginning, the decoration: a true success. Lovely. Brown, chrome, silver, leather and velvet, it all went together so well. Then the welcome: really friendly waiters, warm and welcoming, relaxed and full of good advice. Exemplary! We loved the chic but laid back atmosphere. Neither pretentious nor haughty. Despite the fact that it cost an arm and a leg! To finish off, let’s talk about the “cucina”! The lobster pasta: an absolute delight. Same verdict for the vegetarian risotto. Everyone from our table of 7 went for the same main course: there was a unanimous vote for the escalope “alla milanese”! Exquisite! A “grande applauso”. But forewarned is forearmed. The servings are enormous! Maybe order one for two. Then at least you’ll have enough room for dessert, unlike us (to our great despair!). But hey ho, it gives us the perfect excuse to go back doesn’t it?
