Mrs Pound

Mrs Pound

It used to be Mrs Pound’s hide out, the famous burlesque dancer. At the height of her success, she then mysteriously disappeared, rampant rumours suggesting that she took off with the love of her life. Mr Ming, crazy about her, bought the stamp shop that was to become their love nest. Today, you’d think you were on a movie set. An 80ies feel with bright colours, fluorescent lights and pink windows that showcase loads of her stuff (Photos, makeup, jewellery, froufrou). A peculiar atmosphere, with a touch of extravagance, out of the ordinary feel but mostly very cosy, friendly staff and really good food. For lunch, go for the 98HKD 2 course menu which comes with rice or roti canai (a kind of pancakes) and a drink. The Beef Rendang is to die for, with ginger rice. The lemongrass pork chop is also worth the detour. The two cocktails on offer (basil or litchi) go perfectly well with the Asian flavours. We love it J At night, you can enjoy great home made cocktails and blend in with its overly trendy hipster crowd :-)
