  • CÉ LA VI’s new menu

You know me, always happy when it’s yummy in my tummy. Had a chance to get a sneak peek of CÉ LA VI ’s new menu by new Executive Chef Jason Au, loved the freshness of it. I also know that some of you will be looking for places where to take someone (a special someone or a friend or a colleague …) during the festive season and with it’s beautiful décor, chill vibes and meticulous Asian flavours, CÉ LA V is definitely a nice idea. A huge crush on the Softshell crab with Watermelon (HKD 188) a surprising and super fresh starter and perfect before the French Duck Breast served with Wasabi pickled and Ponzu (HKD 258). Was a little bit disappointed by the Mushroom Salad (HKD98) but hey the Clams and yellow pepper coulis (HKD 248) made it up for it. And it’s always nice to finish up the nice on the rooftop with beautiful view over Central.

Stay tuned, our review of Christmas menus in Hong Kong is coming up next week and CÉ LA VI definitely has lined up some exciting dishes.

  • A Viennese Afternoon Tea at The Ritz Carlton

Probably the most Christmassy and yummy partnership of this winter! The Ritz Carlton Hong Kong has teamed up with Café Landtmann, one of the most legendary Viennese coffee house, bringing the elegance and romance of Vienna to Hong Kong. I do sometimes miss a European December and the very special Christmas spirit … that Viennese Afternoon Tea took me to back to Europe in just a sip of hot chocolate (watch out, the Viennese Hot Chocolate e has a little alcoholic surprise inside, perfect to warm you up!). The buttery Apple Strudel is a must try … so pornfood!

  • Sarah Lai Pop Up Store

I love Hong Kong brand Sarah Lai ! If you haven’t heard about it yet, the brand is having a pop-up at Pacific Place. And if you know the brand you probably love it just like me and definitely wanna check Sarah’s latest collections “Romance Reborn” Series 1 and 2 featuring ruffles and velvet elements absolutely perfect for the festive season.

Psssst: the prices are quite affordable so it is also a great occasion to find a nice gift for a fashionista (just saying, if we have some males reading this and still struggling to find a beautiful Christmas present for their soul mates)

Until January 2, 2018

  • Trudon

Probably one of my biggest crush this end of the year is Trudon, the first perfume collection of luxury French candle make Cire Trudon. I was already addicted to their candle, the new 5 fragrances are intrinsically rooted in the Maison’s Heritage: modern, rather subversive, taking on precious themes such as history or royalty and very very chic. Each of the very fragrance is very unique, with its very own process of creation and I love the strong personality of those perfumes. If you ask me, they make the chicest Christmas gift this year!

I must confess a huge crush on Revolution, an odour of smoke and musket powder paying homage to the streets of Paris during the French Revolution and the rage and intense emotions of the crowd. This smoky smell is intense and pretty subversive. A true signature fragrance!
