Madam Sixty Ate: In the mood for meat !
Edit - January 7th 2018: this restaurant is now closed

Diets and veggies are really a thing of the past! In order to be in nowadays you should head over to Madam Sixty Ate to discover deli meats, cheese and meat dishes. Get ready to try out the new trendy restaurant in Wan Chai. Just recently opened, Madam Sixty Ate will wake up the carnivore that’s in you! Pâtés, foie gras, “confit de canard” (duck), “cassoulet” (bean and pork stew), roast beef, “ragout” (beef stew) and many more. The combination of flavours is quite surprising. The dishes were presented divinely well. We tested the set lunch with as a starter: foie gras / chicken pâté with pistachios and nectarines. If you’re feeling a bit lost, it’s just one dish. In short, it was a good start. Then the Chef’s “boeuf bourguignon” (beef stew). Marvellous! The meat was delicious and the side dish – shallots and mashed potatoes – was a success too. We were slightly disappointed when it came to the dessert (a Dacquoise with peanut butter and bananas) but that wasn’t really the reason we went there after all! The bread was so delicious that we weren’t hungry anymore anyway! We’ll come back for dinner and on that occasion we’ll take the time to sip a cocktail because the bar / library area is very charming. It’s true, the interior couldn’t have been nicer, no expense was spared! We were charmed! Up to you to be the judge now!
