Ivy: Gaia Group’s new restaurant

Ivy: Gaia Group’s new restaurant
Edit - January 7th 2018: this restaurant is now closed

This time, the group gets into French cuisine! To establish this new restaurant, they have chosen a first-class location: former "Betty’s Kitchen" in IFC mall. It’s spacious, bright and beautifully decorated. And what have we on the food side?  We’ve been promised Mediterranean flavours and we have to admit, the set lunch smells as good as South of France: Niçoise salad, tomatoes/burrata, “poulet aux olives” (chicken with olives) and more… We recommend the incredible burrata that melts in the mouth. The truffle fettuccine are delicious but not the lightest of options! If you want something healthier, go for the salmon or the chicken with olives. The polenta cake with pineapple (served like a fruit tart) is incredible.  Verdict: everything is very good but the set lunch is a little bit too expensive (3 dishes / HKD 368). Be lenient on the service quality as the restaurant is still in soft opening stage. Nevertheless, we approve completely of the manager who takes good care of customers and even speaks French with a charming accent!
