It seems like more and more restaurants with super cool vibes, great fusion nibbles to shares, yummy cocktails and reasonable prices are popping-up in Hong Kong and we kinda love this new trend. After TokyoLima and Uma Nota, we needed to give a try to Fang Fang. Unlike the two others, Fang Fang does not take inspiration from the South American continent but way closer being a melting pot of Asian cuisines.

Let’s kick off the night with a cocktail shall we?

Carefully crafted by award winning Bar Manager Gagan Gurung, the new cocktail menu (launched in September 2018) is based on the Chinese Zodiac: 12 cocktails (each one priced at HKD 110) following the zodiac signs and a 13th one allowing you to place your fortune in the bartender's hands for him to create a unique, hand-crafted bespoke concoction.

Absolutely loving it that the cocktails are served in hand-painted cocktail glasses, most of them designed by Gagan himself.

I am a horse (born in 1990) yet tonight I have decided to order the award-winning year of the Rat inspired cocktail: Fly Me Mediterranean (HKD 110). A surprising and tasty blend of Parmesan washed Gin Mare, Sakura sake, white cacao, Bergamot and popping candy (so regressive!).

Ok, you know me and it would be lying saying that I had only one cocktail but shh ... who are you to judge me anyway?

Shall we order a few nibbles to snack on? I'll definitely be back for the new A La Carte menu but tonight let's try the bar snacks such as the addictive Wasabi prawns (HKD 98) and the yummy Salt and Pepper Tofu (HKD 68) in smoky garlic chili sauce. Oh and let's do a round of Soft Shell Crab Rolls (HKD 128) also, right?

Definitely loving the cool vibes out there!

HAPPY HOUR AT FANG FANG

Happy Hour at Fang Fang runs from Monday to Friday from 5 pm to 8 pm and will have you choose between two free-flow options (HKD 250 or HKD 350) or single drinks ranging from beer (HKD 30), sake (HKD 40), house and sparkling wine (HKD 50) and a selection of cocktails (HKD 60).  But if you ask me, the best time of the week to enjoy there happy hour is definitely on Friday. First because it's Friday (Thank God!) and then because Friday at Fang Fang isn't just Happy Hour but The Happiest Friday Happy Hour

You'll be treated to a free drink of your choice from happy hour menu upon arrival and have a chance to spin the Chinese zodiac board and maybe win free drinks gift cards.
