Boqueria: a Spanish evening in Lan Kwai Fong

Boqueria: a Spanish evening in Lan Kwai Fong
Edit - January 7th 2018: this restaurant is now closed

This Spanish restaurant has recently settled in at LKF tower, and since we always love a bit of Spanish food, we dashed over there to take a look…and taste!
There are classic tapas dishes on the menu as well as some surprises like our favourites, the ab fab tuffle croquettes. We also really liked the patatas bravas, which were nice and crunchy, just as they should be; the iberico ham, which melted in the mouth, and finally beef à la plancha - sooo tender. We recommend taking the salad del momento on the side because it’ll probably be the only light touch to your dinner! For dessert (yes, we couldn’t resist!) we went for the obvious choice, the ‘oh too- tempting’ churros! We also gave the caramel flan a try, and what a little gem it was! Well, after all that we can safely say that Spanish cuisine is not diet friendly. But let’s leave that rather annoying topic to one side and focus more on the décor instead because we liked it a lot! They’ve got big tall tables and some lower ones with benches; there are a lot of wooden details, some typical mosaics on the walls and soft lighting which creates a warm feel. The restaurant also has an open kitchen, so you can see the big hams hanging from the ceiling! Vamos! Get yourselves a glass of sangria or rioja, and then “es la felicidad!”
