Blue Brick Bistro by Yoku Moku : lovely terrace, low prices

You probably already know the japanese bakery : Yoku Moku in this pedestrian and colorful area of Wan Chai : Lee Tung Avenue. Very famous for its Aoyama Rolls (the asian version of the french « gateaux roulés ») which are supposed to be the best in Asia, it is one of these “always crowded” shops in HK. Blue Brick Bistro is the restaurant which opened right above the bakery and offer a fine cuisine for very affordable prices. The 4-courses menu costs 298HK$ for dinner and 118HK$ at lunch time (coffee or tea is included), if you know a better deal, please call me. The terrace, just above the lovely street, is quiet, charming and perfect for a romantic dinner or a nice lunch with a bunch of friends.

What about the food ? No big surprises but well-done dishes. The Lobster bisque smells so good ... The chicken is tender and the halibut is perfectly cooked. Of course, don’t forget the Aoyama roll for a perfect ending. The Macha one if you feel very Japanese tonight, or just plain to keep it simple.

Don’t be in a hurry, service is not the fastest one, but who would want to rush, it is so pleasant here. I’ve heard their cocktails are amazing, next time you might want to try the Wasabi Mary one.
