Teacher by training, Michelle Lai has taught for 7 years before focusing on her passion: fashion and design. Luckily she decided to launch herself into it in 2004. Inspired by her second passion, Japanese culture, she created a line of bags and accessories made from authentic obi, belts used to do up traditional Japanese clothes, and kimonos that she finds when she travels in the Land of the Rising Sun. Sophisticated and elegant, each creation is unique and timeless. We just love them! The designer has recently added new design, among those a leather bag with a set off handle in Japanese fabric. She just launched a line of new handbags, the Mischa Jet Set Tote - with Mischa’s own printing: an hexagon signature print - which should be all the rage in September 2010.
