Angel’s Share
The name Angel’s Share is a hint at this place’s specialty. A pointer: our subject matter comes partially from Scotland and gets better as it ages. Wrong, it’s not Sean Connery! We’re talking about Whisky! Angel’s Share, recently opened by the owners of Tastings (a place that we have already favorably reviewed) will delight connoisseurs of this fine spirit. The stage is set as soon as you step out of the lift: a wall that boasts an array of fine Whisky bottles. A beautiful, elegant display. It nearly feels like being in a gallery! You step through the door and, depending on the time of the day, you stop off to sample one of the 100 whiskies that are available at the bar or simply to sip a glass of wine or a cocktail. We love the barrel features near the bar. Next you head across to the restaurant. The atypical décor seduced us. Raw walls, padded leather benches, velvet armchairs, wrought iron-decorated windows. The mix of different styles is irresistible! And on the food front, there is an impressive British menu: fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, fat chips, black pudding. Everything lovely and light! Don’t hesitate to order a few appetizers to be shared amongst friends. And enjoy the evening. Angel’s Share also offers set lunches from HKD98 that are hearty and delicious. We opted for the fried prawn salad, followed by the beef tenderloin with mushrooms and vegetables and finally the cheese cake. It was really scrumptious from start to end. Cheers Ladies!
