A love story has begun. Hong Kong Madame has set foot in Pamalican Island, in the Philippines. This statement deserves further explanations: once in Manilla, a fancy big car opens its doors and drops you off in the small airport’s Amanpulo lounge. Just enough time to sip a glass of lemonade and to fantasize about the brochures of the other AMAN hotels before the private airplane is ready to take off. The real journey starts now. Earth and sea seen from the sky. It was well worth the trip. A smooth landing and we’re finally there. Our golf cart awaits us. Perfect, we love it, we feel like Schumacher (perhaps a little bit too much even but we won’t go there!). The Amanpulo is the only hotel nestled on this heavenly island. Breathtaking sea and shining sun, exceptional sea beds, amazing activities, a real 5 star service, spacious and comfy rooms (on the beach or the hills) that could nevertheless benefit from a small facelift…. But the rest is so perfect that we don’t seem to mind. The place’s magic has done its trick. In summary, a unique spot. We’ll definitely be back!
