Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Place Vendôme, Avenue des Champs Elysées… Paris in one hour from Hong Kong, I am not kidding! This is possible now since the opening in September of the newest Sands Resort in Macao: The Parisian.
Sophie Marceau as charming ambassador, a half-scale Eiffel Tower, Paris through the ages... I was super curious to discover it. And guess what? The magic is there!
The outside entrance of the hotel is recreating the Gare du Nord architecture and the staff is welcoming you in French… "Bonjour et bienvenue at The Parisian" - lovely!
Open the heavy doors in a Palais Garnier style to discover the majestic dome and the huge fountain in the hotel grand lobby. The Rotunda’s gleaming dome recalls L’Hotel National des Invalides – breathtaking!
Enter the hotel check-in area in a very emperor style with a replication of The Coronation of Napoleon – just like at Louvre museum. This is incredible!
And the Eiffel Tower of course! 116 years between this half-scale authentic recreation (with every detail intact!) and Gustave Eiffel's project.
Go up to the observation deck –you will finally realize you’re in Macao and also how amazing the hotel is from outside.
The rooms at The Parisian are very comfortable and I am totally in love with the Paris map wallpaper! Noted that the “famille rooms” have a separate sleeping area for kids.
In the morning, you will enjoy the breakfast at The Buffet – homemade breads (super delicious!), croissants, pancakes, waffles, fresh juices and fruits but also huge salty choices in the amazing brasserie style restaurant.
The hotel is full of surprises – it’s just magical from day and night. I forgot to mention the 1,200 seat-theatre (go to see Thriller show before 11/11 – it’s amazing!), resort facilities including spa, pools and jacuzzis, kids club…
With 3,000 guest rooms and suites, all designed with contemporary French (and a bit kitsch) flair, The Parisian is a cry for love to the most beautiful city in the world!
