By now, you must be aware of my obsession with beautiful hotels around the world. When not eating or traveling, which are from very far the two things I love the most in life, I love spending hours on researching the most amazing hotels around the world. So, I thought why not make use of those long hours spent dreaming over incredibly beautiful bedrooms and dreamy properties and share some of my finds with you guys? Who knows it might inspire you to visit some of those places? If you do, please shoot me an email and share some pictures (but not too much! I might get highly jealous!). Starting this “Unique hotels of the world” series with Bensley Collection - Shinta Mani Wild, a 15 luxurious tents property located in the remote wilderness of the Kirirom National Park and the South Cardamom National Park, three hours south of Phnom Penh (Cambodia).

Opened late 2018, the hotel was recently added the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World collection featuring world-class hotels in extraordinary destinations around the world.

I don’t know if it is related to the fact that I have barely camped once in my life but I’m highly obsessed with glamping. Or maybe I just spent too many hours watching Out of Africa, God I love this movie.

I just find the idea of camping while enjoying five stars service and comfort highly glamourous and desirable.

And when it comes to glamping, Bensely Collection – Sinta Mani Wild does take thing to a whole other lever offering you to arrive the hotel by a 400 m zip line over a river and waterfalls. The camp in itself has been designed by world-renowned designer Bill Bensley with sustainability in mind and offers an experiential luxury adventure giving intimate access to one of Asia’s most stunning forest ecosystems and its wildlife inhabitants.

Oh and did I mention each and every of the 15 tents have been named and themed by Bill Bensley himself to give them a very unique ambiance and DNA and pay tribute to the things that inspired him as a designer. I’m currently having a hard time deciding if my ultimate dream is to stay in the King Jayavarman’s Tent (one of Bill’s favourite) offering some serious Jungle Book vibes or in the First Lady Jackie Kennedy’s Tent document Jackie’s 1967 visit to Cambodia and offering dramatic views of the river and monsoon rapids.

Hong Kong Madame’s ultimate fantasy: staying in one of the four Waterfall Tents and enjoy the distinctive view of the spectacular Raging Sister waterfalls from the outdoor bathtub.
