Sushi Ta-ke: delicous Japanese food in Causeway Bay

March 9th 2012

Here is our new Japanese fav’! Between tradition and modernity, Sushi Ta-ke is a little gem. Full marks from the decoration to the dishes, Sushi Ta-Ke is a feel-good dining spot. Purists will be happy to read that this is not a new trendy hangout. On the contrary, the key word here is authenticity. Zen deco, Japanese fine porcelain crockery and a menu that honors sushi and sashimi. By the way, the chef is an expert in this matter! Among his experiences in the last 30 years, Mr Kimijima has worked at Yamm and Zuma. We recommend the Deluxe Sushi Platter served at lunchtime with a miso soup, a salad, the famous steamed egg custard and a dessert. Our other recommendation: the Wagyu beef and its Teriyaki sauce on a bed of rice. So good! To accompany this, you can stick to the green tea or opt for Sake, Japanese beer or one of the very good wines the drinks menu has to offer. If there are two of you, prefer the seats by the sushi counter, four of you, one of the restaurant’s tables. More than that, you should know that the restaurant has a semi-private room. In any case, reservations are required! That’s the downside of great addresses you will say!
