Always at you service, 7 days a week, we have tested a week end in Taipei. Verdict: Taiwan's capital is the ideal week end destination. Take the time to visit, to loaf around, stressless. Start by a visit of Taipei 101, the second tallest tower in the world with a height of 508 meters, just being is the elevator is spectacular. You climb 89 floors in 45 seconds! From there, you can admire the view which is revealed to you. Next, why won't you pop in Ximen, the youngsters‘ discrict? Then, make for the "Grand Hotel" which looks like an imperial Chinese palace. For the evening, don't miss the Shilin Night Market. Total change of scene! If you are starving, you can try the local dishes offered by the market merchants. And now, it's time to sit down at the table. You have the choice between the amazing number of restaurants in Taipei. Japanese cooking's amateur will be in seventh heaven! After a good night sleep, use your Sunday for culture and go to discover the city museums. Don't miss the National Palace Museum where the treasures of the Forbidden City are exposed. Then, go to Taipei Holiday Flower and Jade Markets. With this program you should go back home with a lot of memories!
