Hong Kong counts 9 restaurants in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019 list including 2 new entries

On Tuesday March 26 2019, chefs, restaurateurs, foodie, medias and fnb industry insiders all gathered at Wynn Palace in Macau for the unveiling of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. A few highlights from the evening:
 
1. Odette, in Singapore, takes-on this year top honors succeeding 4-times winner Gaggan, in Bangkok, in the no.1 spot
 
A quite exciting news knowing that Chef Julien Royer from Odette will be partnering with JIA Group to launch his first Hong Kong’s venture: Louise, a French restaurant set to open in June. 
 
2. Malaysia makes it to the list for the first time ever with Dewakan (No.46)
 
3. Hong Kong counts nine restaurants in the list including 2 new entries: The Chairman (No.11), 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana (No.12), Belon (No.15), Amber (No.21), VEA (No.34/ NEW), Neighborhood (No.37), Lung King Heen (No.38), Seventh Son No.44/ NEW), Ta Vie (No.50)
 
4. Belon (No.15) is crowned with this year’s Highest Climber Award jumping 25 spots
 
5. Japan leads the 2019 list with 12 entries
