A couple of days before Xmas and you still haven’t chosen your menu. No stress, if like me, you don’t want to spend your day in the kitchen but rather book a table in a nice restaurant, here are some ideas, depending on the country you’d like to visit.

  Missing France?
Metropolitai n, West of the Island, or Eiffel Bistro, East, these both venues are well-known for their French traditional recipes. At Eiffel, the 498HK$ menu includes, among others, duck foie gras and toasted brioche, roasted duck breast with orange sauce and a Xmas chocolate and chesnut log. Metropolitain suggests its famous Homemade Foie gras (so delicious we can also order one to take-away), scallops with creamy leeks, a tartiflette and Mont d’Or cheese. Joyeux Noël !

What about a comfy American Xmas Eve?
Head off to Grand Central  for a 100% US style Xmas menu. Let’s start with a warm sweet potatoes soup with maple bacon and a roasted beets, pears and blue cheese salad. Then, go for the traditional Turkey and its cherry balsamic jam or the tender US Prime Rib Eye. A pecan pie cheesecake with maple crème Anglaise perfectly ends this « Merry Xmas ».
