Once a well-kept secret, retro bar Foxglove is no longer a secret place but rather one of the sleekest speakeasies in town. But did you know that the place also hosts Frank’s Library? A secret alcove library hidden away behind close curtains and serving premium spirits and barrel-aged cocktails. Behind the bar? Derek Tsui who’s made it twice to the list of Drinks World Asia’s Top 25 Bartenders in Hong Kong and has previously worked at 81⁄2 Otto E Mezzo Bombana.

But then who is that Frank giving his name to the place? Frank Minza, a fictional British Man imagined by restaurant group Ming Fat House when opening Foxglove. Frank’s Library’s cocktails menu is inspired by Frank’s globe-trotting adventures around the world from where he came back with a “Travel Diary Cocktails”. I must confess I do love a nice storytelling. But the best thing is, this menu changes every season ...

Ready to unveil the new cocktail menus (as of Jan 2019)? Here are my 4 favs out of the 6 new cocktails

Royal Ceylon (HKD 140)
Monkey Shoulder Whisky, Amaretto, Lime Juice, Sous Vide Fresh Coconut Water, Cinnamon, Pu Erh Tea, Angostura Bitters

Tokyo Drift (HKD 140)
Nikka from the Barrel, Umeshu Plum Whisky, Peychaud's Bitters, Angostura Bitters

Bird of Paradise (HKD 140)
Tito's Vodka, Elderflower, Kaffir Leaves, Lime Juice, Blood Orange, Yuzu, Ginger Syrup, Peychaud's Bitters

Confectionary (HKD 140)

Wanna be part of this secret experience? Easy peasy, Frank’s Library take both reservations (on frankslibrary@foxglovehk.com  ) and walk-ins (jus head off to Foxglove and ask for a seat in the library but careful the place is very small).
