Dec 1 is in two weeks from now so I officially declare the opening of the Festive Season! Yes! Kicking off with a little confession: I’m obsessed with Advent Calendars! Like obsessed obsessed! Every year, starting from November I’m on the hunt for the best Advent Calendars available. Of course, I’m not buying them all, but just like to check what’s new and make a Wishlist. Usually ending up buying 1 or 2 maximum from this list (plus the mandatory Kinder’s Calendar! For me ain’t a proper Christmas without this one).

The posh one: diptyque

Well Advent Calendars aren’t the only thing I’m obsessed with and among those many things is diptyque. I absolutely love everything from this brand and find it to be the epitome of chic. Of course, this Advent Calendar had to be on my list of the best Advent Calendars this year, even though it’s crazy expensive (USD 425).

Holiday treasures in a magical box: 24 iconic products – candles, personal fragrances, body care - from the brand in discovery format and a limited-edition 70g candle from their beautiful Christmas collection. Want want want!

The fragrant one: Atelier Cologne

Another brand (French again) which I love and find to be ultimately chic is Atelier Cologne. Just like diptyque, they are offering this year a Luxury Advent Calendar (HKD 4,000) which is definitely not a treat everybody can afford but loving it that they also have a way more reasonable version: The Discovery Advent Calendar(HKD 790).

If you are not yet familiar with the brand, this little beauty is a perfect treat to discover the very unique fragrances of Atelier Cologne and if you know the brand already and love it (just like me), you can only love this calendar which features Cologne Absolue samples in 17 different fragrances, 2 soaps, 2 shower gel, 2 body lotions and the iconic Clémentine California (one of my fav!) in 7.5 ml.

The yummy one: La Maison du Chocolat

I had to have a chocolaty advent calendar in this selection but not any chocolate will do. It’s Christmas time after all and you know me, I’m a foodie so I’d rather not have an Advent Calendar than having one of those with that terribly sugary and absolutely bad chocolate we used to have when we were kids. La Maison du Chocolat’s Advent Calendar never disappoints! First of all thanks to its beautiful design (because this little thing is going to be in my living room for pretty much the entire month of December so I’d rather like it to be beautiful) and then because of the yummy chocolate treats hidden inside carefully crafted by Master Chocolatier Nicolas Cloiseau.

The beautiful one: L’Occitane

Beautifying the countdown to holidays, that’s my plan. The festive season is a season to treat your family and friends but also yourself and I’m definitely planning on treating myself to some cocooning time. Nothing like 24 days of beauty products from a brand that I love to do so!
