As Hong Kong is currently facing the third wave of the virus, the government has stepped up its fight against this worsening crisis with making the wearing of masks mandatory in indoor public places as well as all public transportations. I’ve personally been wearing a mask in both outdoor and indoor public places since the very beginning of the crisis and I am now so used to it that I sometimes even forget I have it on. However, I had to slightly adapt my beauty routine to this new fashion accessory because the skin is suffering under the mask and maintaining it blemish-free does require extra care. I’ve rounded up my fav skincare products for maintaining a radiant and blemish-free skin when wearing a mask all day.
A hydrating serum
Wearing a mask all day tends to leave you skin dry and cause irritation, so you need to make sure and properly moisturized your skin. Do not hesitate and add a hydrating serum to your skincare routine. The light texture of such products is perfect in the heat and humidity of Hong Kong and you skin will thank you for this extra layer of hydration.

An easy way to know if your cleanser is gentle enough for your skin is by checking if your skin feels tight after cleansing. If it does, you are cleansing it with something too harsh.
