The Hong Kong Government recently announced that it is very unlikely schools will fully reopen after Easter. There is not much we can do about it unfortunately but we hear you, parents stuck at home with kids, so we though you might be interested hearing about a few HK based companies offering qualitative at-home entertainment for the kiddos.

Little Bean’s Toy Chest
For kids from 1 to 5

Stuck at home with kids
Little Bean’s Toy Chest was created by Hai Anh, Vietnamese mompreneur based in Hong Kong, and carries a variety of wooden, creative and eco-friendly, toys but most importantly Quiet Books (and who doesn’t need some peace and quiet when stuck at home with kids?). Quiet Books? Handmade creative books made with felt material, zippers, silk, soft cotton fabric, laces, Velcro, buttons … for kids to interact with.  Oh and they are washable!

Hong Kong Madame loves: the I love Hong Kong book (HKD 390) which is handcrafted with the cutest details to educate your little ones to the local culture and the inspiring What Will I be? book (HKD 390) which encourages little girls to be smart and bold and pretend-play becoming fire-women, doctors, astronauts, basketball players, engineers or zoologists.

Cherry on the cake, the books (and playmats) are produced by Bright Solutions Vietnam, a NGO who trains and employs locals underprivileged women to help them out of their critical situation.

Little Bean’s Toy Chest’s Quiet Books are available online and at selected stores around town.
