Our top three free-flow dim sum brunch in Hong Kong

Yum Cha is a weekend tradition I love. And if there’s something quite unique about enjoying dim sum from the trolley at City Hall Maxim’s Palace or hot xiao long bao at Din Tai Fung, I do not mind an elevated version of it from time to time. If you’re in the mood for unlimited made-to-order dim sum served straight to your table and paired with a glass of bubbly, I have you covered.

Duddell’s

Our top three free-flow dim sum brunch in Hong Kong
Weekend Salon Brunch at Duddell’s is a very chic dim sum affair. You’ll find yourself with elegantly dressed large groups of friends raising a celebratory Champagne toast on the terrace, couples having a dim sum date, a few young kids behaving extremely well and smaller groups catching up over Espresso Martini. There’s a selection of dim sum, mains and rice and noodles for you to choose from, served fresh and unlimited to your table. Everything is perfectly portioned – dim sum are served per two and mains are small portions, so that you can try a bit of everything and even reorder the ones you like the most. The Espresso Martini is highly addictive and there’s several Champagne options available depending on how festive you feel.

The Chinese Library

Our top three free-flow dim sum brunch in Hong Kong
The stunning interior décor of The Chinese Library serves as the perfect backdrop for a 3h and 30 minutes unlimited dim sum brunch. Appetisers and dim sum are unlimited, and each guest will have to choose one main. With the free-flow being one of the longest ones I’ve ever tried, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy some little breaks and take your glass of Champagne to the terrasse to take in the views on the heritage buildings of Tai Kwun. There’s definitely a touch of old-school charm about this brunch.

Hutong

Our top three free-flow dim sum brunch in Hong Kong
Having recently relocated, alongside its sister restaurant aqua, to a new location in H Zentre, Hutong offers jaw dropping views of the harbour as well as a brand-new intricate interior design. If the main focus of the restaurant is on Northern Chinese specialties, dim sum are served during the Feng Wei Brunch, as part of the unlimited appetisers. You can expect a modern take on your traditional dim sum with options such as the charcoal yu xiang crispy pork dumpling, the pickled pepper har gau and the seasonal vegetable and peach gum dumpling. They’ll be followed by three hot dishes of your choice to share between the table.
