Easter is just around the corner

April 4th 2017

For foodies like me, knowing that Easter is around the corner is definitely an exciting news … I mean, chocolate overload, yes I am definitely in for that!

I’ve done my own little research (well research and maybe a little bit of tasting too) and I am happy to introduce my fav Easter treats of this year.

  • Pierre Hermé’s Easter bunny

The rumour has it that the Easter bunny cannot be seen or catch. Well, you’d better run quick if you wanna get your hands on Le Lapin – Pure Origin Madagascar chocolate rabbit - by Pierre Hermé. Only 10 pieces are available in Hong Kong!
Paying tribute to French sculptor François Pompon this bunny will have you go crazy; a strong and exceptional dark chocolate with notes of passion fruit and caramelised pineapple and just a touch of biscuit.

And if this year again, you are not lucky enough to catch the Easter bunny, no worries the mini chocolate eggs gift box will definitely satisfied your chocolate crave.

Le Lapin d’apres François Pompon – limited edition (140g): HKD 320
Mini chocolate eggs gift box – 36 pieces: HKD 480

  • Egg hunt in the countryside with La Maison du Chocolat

La Maison du Chocolat and its Master Chef Nicolas Cloiseau have created an Easter collection inspired by the fun moments of Easter egg hunting in the lively country, a collection full of bunnies, chicks, cows and sheep.

Monsieur Bunny is super yummy, all dressed up in an almond praline with caramelized coconut. Mademoiselle Feather has a strong character with her dark chocolate but a melting heart of almond and
hazelnut praline with slivers of caramelized biscuits.
Mister Sheep is puffed up with slivers of crispy crêpe. A dark and crispy figurine!
Miss Cow wraps herself in a veil of praline moussé with almonds.

And if you cannot decide, just go for the entire family with the Spring Builds Its Nest Family Gift box!

HKD 450 per figurine / 130 g
“Spring Builds Its Nest” Family Gift Box (4 figurines - 520 g): HKD 1,900

  • Easter éclair by L’Éclair de Génie

An éclair inspired by my fav French dessert Crème Brûlée? Yes, yes and definitely yes!
L’Éclair de Génie turns this super yummy dessert in a creamy filling, silky smooth egg yolk for a festive éclair.

Éclair Crème Brûlée: HKD 48
