The Breaker: Patron Silver Tequila, roasted sweet potato orgeat, curry leaf, beetroot, citrus
The Breaker: Patron Silver Tequila, roasted sweet potato orgeat, curry leaf, beetroot, citrus
The 8th best bar in Asia this year, ARGO at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, has raised the bar yet again with its innovative and thought-provoking cocktail menu. This time, the spotlight falls on agroforestry, where the bar explores a deeper connection with nature. The menu, crafted by beverage manager Federico Balzarini, features six remarkable ingredients sourced from Hong Kong, working in harmony just like in agroforestry – a farming system that benefits the environment, the economy, and society. Each of these ingredients stars in two cocktails (each priced at HK$ 175), one conventional, and the other, wildly unexpected.

  • Granite: Iconic for its abundant presence in Hong Kong soil, crushed granite finds its way into cocktails like the "Igneous Gibson" and "Pottinger Highball."
  • Sweet Potato: Known for thriving in rocky soils, sweet potatoes inspire "The Breaker" and "To the Valley Below."
  • Ginger Lily: This versatile flower used in agroforestry is celebrated in the "Buzz Club" and "Nectar of God."
  • Strawberry: The finest strawberries grow in well-drained soil, making appearances in the "Perennial Treat" and "Deathless Old Fashioned."
  • Bamboo: A core component of Hong Kong's culture, it's showcased in "Potash" and "Frame of Love."
  • Goat: In an unexpected twist, goat products and ingredients make an appearance in cocktails like "Thief!" and "Goat Evolution Flight."
