Chicha: Peruvian food in Peel Street
Our latest food crush. From New York to London and Paris, Peruvian cuisine is trendy and makes our taste buds swoon. Hong Kong had to get with it! Concept creation group delighted us by opening Chicha. The verdict, you get it, is very positive. We chose to stay outside, perched on high stool, hiding under palm trees and tamed lighting, as we wanted to stay away from the truly loud noise inside. So we chose to be hot. You have to set your priorities strainght! We recommend starting happily with a little Pisco-based cocktail , the country’s signature alcohol, both strong and soft (slightly deceiving), the Jolly Roger. You’ll be asking for more! Then, go for the chicken mini burgers (or Pan con Chicharron), to die for! We also loved the Corvina Ceviche, the marinated sea bass Carpaccio accompanied by vegetables. A bomb! Finish off with absolutely delicious pork taco and quinoa salad. The last words? Not to be missed under any circumstances!
