CIAO CHOW: the LKF Italian cafeteria

April 13th 2017

Since its opening a year ago, I’ walked past it a hundred times. Every time the pizzas and cold cut boards make me salivate. Every time I tell myself I have to book a table. Done! And I was not disappointed.

A huge seating area with communal table and open-kitchens, super friendly waiters (the manager is a blast), everything at Ciao Chow fosters CONVIVIALITY. Pizzas come out straight from the traditional ovens, the Parma ham is cut on the counter, pasta sauces are freshly made and smell so good. Everything, from the cooking methods to the ingredients is authentic from Italy. Music is on, the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.

Of course, the menu is 200% Italian as well. Huge choice of antipasti: cold cuts, cheese or veggies. Pesonnaly I went for the Parma ham and fried calamari. I’m not here to start my summer diet. Then I have to decide between several pizzas (white, red or green base?), linguine, rigatoni, fettuccine and tutti quanti. Let’s have a « create-your-own » pizza. I love this idea. I can choose my base, cheese, herbs, proteins and veggies. Loved it! OK, maybe I ordered a bit too much. No more space for dessert, even if the tiramisu and the ravioli Nutella-Banana are very appealing.

Opened until late, in the heart of LKF, I found the perfect spot for a casual Italian meal with friends.
