CATCH me if you can

March 6th 2017

By Aude

Ok, I am such a lazy girl that I usually stay in my hood and need a very good excuse to take the MTR (I know, lazy lazy me). But needed to give a go to Kennedy Town fav and trendy Catch and their new dinner menu was just the perfect excuse to finally get my butt ouf of the sofa.

The place is small and cosy and got that very Aussie vibes. The menu looks appealing. Sounds like I’m about to have a good time!

You can either go the social way and share plates from the shared section such as the seared scallops with cauliflower puree, beetroot pickled cauliflower and truffle caviar, the yummy beef tartar with aioli and poached quail egg on potato skin or the surprising and super comforting laksa steamed mussels (they are not too spicy I swear). Or you can go the healthy way and order a salad. I must confess a heavy crush on the quinoa, haloumi, currants, shaved almonds, chickpea puree, hazelnut one … It is not every day that a salad makes me crave for more and more of it! The best way if you ask me it to order a little bit of everything!

Make sure to spare some room for the mains. If you are the hungry kind, the soft shell crab burger with brioche, chipotle mayo, cabbage, coriander and fries will have you satisfied.  The catch crab boil, market crab, clams, mussels, sweet corn, chorizo, potato is perfect for sharing. But my crush of the night, the thing that will have me go back and forth to Catch is the linguine vongole. They were insanely good!

A place that can accommodate both gourmet and dieting, detoxing or training ones, with cool vibes and yummy dishes … I have no more excuse not to go to Kennedy Town more often!
